What a Difference a Week Makes

Two recent SWAMP sessions have shown the differences that the English winter weather can throw up. The 19th Jan was a glorious sunny morning for the lucky 24 players (See Photo) booked onto SWAMP. In the men’s doubles on the tarmac courts the away team won by 5.5-3.5 rubbers and 54-42 on points. The mixed doubles on the astro courts saw a rubbers draw, but the home team just winning 49 points to 47. Thanks to Andy for organising a lovely winter mornings tennis. BUT on the 24th the weather took a turn for the worse almost exactly as the SWAMP session was about to begin. You will no doubt be impressed however that 12 players managed to play through the rain at the session on the 24th – mad but well done!
