On Sunday (14th) the men’s first team got revenge in their fixture against local club Starbeck. Back in May HSTC came off worst in a 9.5 to 2.5 result. HSTC won by 11 to 1.It would probably have been 12 – nil if Jonathan hadn’t injured his ankle in the final rubber.
And on the same morning the men’s second team won away at Wheldrake by 9.5 to 2.5. That result means that they have won their last 5 matches on the bounce and have almost certainly staved off any threat of relegation this season. Onwards and upwards!
